The National Athlete recruiting system creates an efficient line of communication
between the high school coach, on behalf of the student-athlete, and college
athletic programs. National Athlete is committed to maximixing exposure of quality
student-athletes and enhancing recruiting efforts of colleges.
National Athlete is a recruiting system available to interscholastic athletic departments
for minimal cost; services are provided at no cost to student-athletes.

Mickey Weldon
Mickey is a graduate of Tift County High School where he lettered in Football
and Baseball. He received his BS in Secondary Education (English) from Valdosta
State University and lettered in Baseball at South Georgia College and Valdosta
State University. Mickey received his MA in Educational Leadership from the
University of Georgia. He has taught and coached for eight years at the high
school level. Mickey has coached football, baseball and track. Mickey is
married to the former Jeanna Crews of Nanhunta, GA. Jeanna has recently
received her PHD from the University of Georgia in Science Education. Mickey
and Jeanna have two daughters, Anna and Macy.

Erick Willis
Erick graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School in Bunnell, FL in 1983. Was an
All Region Basketball Selection. Graduated with a B.S. from University of
Central Florida in 1988 in Physical Education. Coached Girls Basketball at
Lake Highland Prep, Football for Flagler Palm Coast, Football, Basketball and Track
at Tift County High School. Currently President of Peach State Turf and Coastal
Turf Farms in Ashburn, GA and Darien, GA. Charter Member of Tift Area YMCA.
Erick and his wife, the former Angie Rainey, have two children Rick and Mitch.

Emmett Bowers
Emmett graduated from Edison High School in Alexandria, VA in 1971, lettering
in basketball and golf. He received a B.S. in Health and Physical Education
from the University of Georgia in 1975. He received a M.Ed. from Georgia
Southwestern University in 1979. He was a coach at Tift County High School
in Tifton, GA from 1976-2003. As Assistant Coach, he won the 1979 South
Georgia Football Championship and was the 1979 runner-up in the State
Football Championship. As Assistant Coach, he also won the 1983 State Football
Championship. As Head Coach, he won the 1985 and 1986 Region Tournament Basketball
Championships, was Region Basketball Coach of the Year in 1985, had a
basketball Final Four appearance in 1986, won the 1995, 1996, and 1997 State
Golf Championships, and coached the 1998 runner-up State Golf Championship team.
Overall he has won 13 Region Golf Championships. He was State Golf Coach of
the Year in 1995 and 1997. He has served as a GACA State Golf Chairman,
Offensive and Defensive Coordinators, Assistant Athletic Director, and Gender
Equity Coordinator. Emmett and his wife, the former Pendy Cavaleri, have two
children, Worth and Kate.
